WiSC is excited to inform you about an amazing upcoming opportunity - the Mentorship program!
Here's the opportunity for ๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฒ๐๐๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ฌ๐๐๐จ๐ง๐, ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ซ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ญ๐ก ๐ฒ๐๐๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ to learn and grow through a mentor-mentee relationship with ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐๐ซ ๐ฒ๐๐๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฌ, respectively.
The Mentorship Program is also looking for ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐๐ซ ๐ฒ๐๐๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ looking to support incoming first year students! These opportunities are available to all female identifying students and minority groups!
All mentees work with an assigned mentor, to gain a personalized, one-on-one experience! Mentors and mentees will be matched based on skill set, program, and career interests.
The program is designed to last ๐ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก๐ฌ (September โ December), and meetings are to be held a ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐๐ ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ฌ (at least once every month before December).

This program is designed for incoming first year students who want the opportunity to be guided by second, third and fourth year students. First years can apply to become mentees under upper year students and learn about the transition to and skills needed for university! Some specifics on what first years can learn from this program is: advice on making new friends, learning useful study habits, engaging in university extra-curriculars and information on POSt. Donโt miss out on this amazing opportunity!

This is a program for upper year students who are looking to guide incoming first years and ease their transition into university. Each mentor will be paired with a first-year student and create a welcoming and encouraging environment for them! Mentors are expected to be able to communicate effectively, have strong leadership skills, be an active listener have a passion for helping others.

Upper year students also have the opportunity to become mentees and learn from industry professionals! This program allows for them to build on and expand upon their career goals, professional identities, as well as their leadership and communication skills! To achieve this, each mentee will be paired with a mentor currently in the industry, and work one on one with them. Mentors and mentees will be paired based on similar fields, skills, and interests.
